SightSpeed Video Mail - SightSpeed has added the ability to do Video Mail in version 3.0.  With version 4.0 and 4.5 you get 30 second Video Mail with the FREE version and 2 minutes with the Pro version.  The Video Mail is stored on the SightSpeed server and so only notification in your SightSpeed window or a short email message with the URL or link that you use your browser to view the Video Mail message.  This prevents filling up of email accounts with large Video Mail messages.  GREAT JOB SightSpeed.

Logitech Video E-Mail - Logitech provides this free option with all Quickcam webcams.  It allows you to record Video Emails as long as you like in 3 resolutions; 160x120, 320x240 and 640x480.  The larger the resolution the bigger the file you will send.  If you want a reason to get a Logitech webcam, the Logitech software is very good.  With the new Face Tracking feature the webcam can follow your movements to keep you centered and in focus.  This is a good application and lets you send the video you recorded to email, a photo album, to another video editor and add text to the beginning or end of the video message.  This a FREE solution.

• Video Mail can be large.  The longer the message, the larger the file and filling up mailboxes may become an issue.  Keep them short and sweet to avoid Video Mail size issues.

Microsoft Outlook 2003 Add-In: Video Email - Microsoft provides this free plug-in for Outlook 2003.  It allows you to record 5, 10 or 15 second video emails right from a button in Outlook.  The size for a 15 second Video Email is only around 256K.  A good solution to test Video Email capabilities and to keep the size to a minimum.  This a FREE solution.
